Vanessa A. Schaeffer, Psy.D., has been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 1994. She earned her Master’s Degree in Community and Family Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University and received her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Schaeffer interned at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Dr. Schaeffer’s private practice in Gainesville, Georgia provides services exclusively for adults age 60 and over. In addition therapy is offered for individuals providing care for older adults. The practice also provides evaluations to recommend the most effective course of treatment for each individual. Dr. Schaeffer is also a registered Mediator in the State of Georgia. She also serves as a Facilitator for the Hall County Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Initiative.
